In Version 1.2 of the Ballyhoo Refresh simple content management system we have introduced new modules to generate sitemaps and image galleries, meta tag control and an improvement to help you structure your site.
Gallery Module
A major new feature in version 1.2 is a gallery module that allows you to add images to a specially configured page on your website.
Uploaded images are displayed as thumbnails on the page, usually in a grid format. When a user clicks on one of these thumbnails the full-size version of the image will appear in an in-line image viewer on the gallery page. Users can then browse through full-size images by clicking Next or Previous buttons in the image viewer.
Sitemap Module
A sitemap is essentially a list of the content on your website and it’s structure. It’s useful for a number of reasons, giving users something to consult when looking for specific content and giving search engines a base from which to index your website.
Our content management system can now generate a sitemap automatically and update it on the fly as you add new content or delete pages you no longer need. You’ll find Sitemap as an option when you add a new page.
Meta Tag Control
Meta tags are reported to have an influence on where you rank in search engines. This information (invisible unless you view the source code of the website) can help search engines to decide which keywords you should be listed under and gives third parties a better idea of what your website is all about.
We’ve now built in the ability for you to set the meta keywords and description for each page of your website.
Sub-Pages
Ballyhoo Refresh gives you the ability to add sub-pages to any page on your website, helping you to easily keep related information together.
The system will now generate a list of links to any sub-pages at the bottom of the parent page to encourage your users to navigate through the website.
