Project Overview
Brambly Hill Day Nursery were going through a time of growth amidst consolidating their existing businesses and needed a new website and branding to showcase their new and improved childcare setting.
We built a fun, friendly website, enabling Brambly Hill to boost their online presence and allowing families to access key information.
Who are Brambly Hill?
Brambly Hill offers bilingual English/Welsh early years care and education services for children aged eight and below in Llanelli, South Wales. The owners of Brambly Hill have been in the childcare sector for over 20 years and we’ve had the pleasure of working with them for more than a decade; first creating a bespoke childcare voucher system and now their new nursery website.
Project Brief
Brambly Hill were consolidating their business, to close one nursery and extend another. Therefore, the brief included:
- Separate branding for the sole branch; and
- A website to showcase services and provide information for parents.
Our Proposal
Using this brief, we created the following proposal:
- Branding services that included bright colours to reflect the fun brand;
- Website design using a simple design to allow parents to gain information quickly and easily;
- Individual pages for each class, providing an insight into what the children get up to on a daily basis; and
- Professional photography to showcase the nursery environment.
Branding
We created the branding for Brambly Hill nursery, using bold and striking shades to create a positive colour palette. When discussing brand character, the client stated that Brambly Hill should be seen as artistic and creative and use elements of nature and the seasons, which heavily impacted our use of a tree and foliage in the logo and illustrations.
Photography
Professional photos were needed to demonstrate the high-quality services that Brambly Hill offers.
We recommended a local, professional photographer to take photos of the nursery after the revamp, with the photos being used across their website and in their marketing materials.
The Technical Details
Web Development
We produced an effective and attractive website design, using pops of brand colour and illustrated details throughout to draw users attention to key details.
We developed Brambly Hill using a content management platform as our foundation, then building a fully custom website theme to match the design.
For a childcare provider, we knew it was important to include a simple navigation that made it easy for users (busy parents!) to quickly find the information that they needed. Key information including an interactive Google Map, opening times, quick links and latest news are all clearly communicated on the homepage of the website, with minimal scrolling required.
We also created individual pages for the different classes/year groups within the nursery, to provide parents and carers with an insight into how the nursery runs and how quality care is of utmost importance for all those at Brambly Hill.
