Accredited Living Wage Employer

Ballyhoo | |

We are thrilled to announce that at Ballyhoo we are now officially a Real Living Wage Employer. This means that we have chosen to pay our employees a wage that they and their families can live on – giving them a fair and decent pay.

What is a Living Wage Employer?

The living wage is a voluntary rate which employers can choose to pay, which is independently calculated to reflect the actual cost of living in the UK. Therefore, it is higher than the Government’s statutory Minimum Wage (also known as the National Minimum Wage).

The living wage is overseen by the Living Wage Foundation.

This provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff earn a wage that they can live on.

Why We Are A Living Wage Employer

Paying the Living Wage is a good indication of the core values of a business, and we are proud of our beliefs and company culture. We truly value our team and we want them to know this.

What’s more, paying the Living Wage has some benefits for the business too. Independent studies show that some benefits include:

  • Lower staff turnover
  • Higher team morale
  • Higher productivity
  • Reputational benefits

We are so pleased to be an accredited Living Wage Employer, and we hope that many other businesses will follow our footsteps and become one too.
