Ballyhoo Celebrates 1 Year of Being a Living Wage Employer

Ballyhoo | |

This month we are celebrating a year of being Real Living Wage accredited.

What is the Real Living Wage?

The living wage is a voluntary rate which employers can choose to pay, which is independently calculated to reflect the actual cost of living in the UK, meaning it is higher than the Government’s statutory Minimum Wage.

This provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff earn a wage that they can live on.

What Does This Mean for the Ballyhoo Team?

Although we have always paid our employees a fair and above average wage, being Real Living Wage accredited means we can show our commitment to our team and their living conditions.

By paying our team members a justified and high wage, it means that they:

  • Have improved financial stability, which is more important than ever due to the cost of living crisis

Have higher job satisfaction – our team have all been with us for many years, which we feel is reflective of how they are treated

  • Have better health outcomes – our team all have access to healthcare and can afford food and warm shelter, meaning less health issues

We are proud to put our team members first, by valuing them as people and understanding their needs both in work and outside of work.

If you want to work with a website agency that has high values, give us a call to have a chat about your project and ideas.
