Ballyhoo Review of the Year 2024

Ballyhoo | |

As 2024 draws to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what Ballyhoo has accomplished over the last year, and celebrate the wins.

Life at Ballyhoo

James Celebrates 10 Years

Back in February, our backend website developer James celebrated 10 years at Ballyhoo! James joined us in 2014, and we’d be truly lost without him. As our backend developer, he codes websites, creates back-end systems and manages our hosting infrastructure.

But he’s also more than that – he is meticulous with detail and is truly dedicated to his job. We are so happy to have you as part of the team.

Ballyhoo Turns 15

Can you believe that we’ve been doing this for 15 years?! That’s the same age as a Porpoise usually lives until. Although we haven’t got around to throwing a Ballyhoo birthday party due to having a very busy summer, we are so proud to have been running the business and helping our clients for 15 years. Thank you for continuing to choose us, allowing us to help grow your business and being a part of your success.

Best Month to Date

We aren’t into bragging, however it is important to be proud and celebrate wins. With that said, July saw our best month ever to date financially, and we have our clients to thank for that. The business that started in Anthony’s parent’s spare bedroom now helps businesses throughout the country to flourish and succeed – many of which have been with us for over 10 years, and we are so proud that Ballyhoo is what it is today. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for the business.

Environment with Ecologi

We’ve been members of Ecologi for two years, but this year we reached a huge milestone – we’re proud to say that we have avoided over 200 tonnes of carbon emissions.

B30 Food Donation

As is our now yearly tradition, we have organised a food donation with occupiers of Pure Offices Longbridge to collect donations for B30 Foodbank. This Christmas, we have raised a huge 84.3kg worth of donations!

Christmas Donation

Rather than providing Christmas Gifts to our clients, we make a charitable donation to a chosen charity. Each of our team members picked their chosen charity, where we then ran a poll for our clients to choose which one charity we donated to.

We are proud to have made a donation to Birmingham Children’s Hospital (and we’ve also made smaller donations to the other charities listed too).

Partying for Charity

For our Ballyhoo Christmas Party, we attended Herbert’s Yard Bingo Bab event, which was not only a great evening, but all ticket proceeds went to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

2024 Projects

Ongoing support and improvements for our client’s websites and business strategies is steadily becoming a bigger part of our work every year, but making new websites is still our passion. This year we had several website launches for clients old and new to celebrate, including:

ACS Midlands

We created a sleek, modern WordPress website for established construction company ACS Midlands, with new branding to set them apart from competitors. The website features a dedicated space to demonstrate projects that promote the capabilities that they offer around the region, in addition to implementing statistic counters on the homepage and across portfolio items, giving ACS Midlands a space to demonstrate their experience and specialist skills.

Discount Fire Supplies

Over a decade after creating their original website, we migrated large e-commerce store Discount Fire Supplies to WordPress, including a catalogue of over 2,000 products to WooCommerce, in addition to implementing a website redesign to improve customer experience and increase conversion rates.

Cofton Insurance Services

Cofton Insurance Services’ previous website was outdated and not mobile responsive, making it difficult to reach customers and encourage them to take action. We created a new, seamless website that listed all 40 types of insurance that they offer, with a focus on call to action buttons.

Bedfordshire Police Federation

We migrated an existing Joomla website to WordPress, with functionality to allow members to view news articles, updates and offers. The new website allows Bedfordshire Police Federation to reach and connect with members.

Looking Forward to 2025

We are looking forward to 2025, with plenty of exciting projects that we can’t wait to share. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you for your support this year, and we hope you have a happy and healthy start to the next year ahead.
