Ballyhoo Turns 13 Years Old!

Ballyhoo | |

Today is Ballyhoo’s big 13th Birthday! We can’t believe where the time has gone, and wanted to use this time to reflect on the Ballyhoo journey and what we’ve learnt along the way.

The Ballyhoo Journey

Ballyhoo was started by founder Anthony Chaffey in 2009, who along with his now-wife Alison set up the business after living the freelancer life for a year. Prior to this Anthony had established a successful web design company at uni so he already had valuable business experience and a loyal roster of clients to support – we even still work with some of these original clients today!

The very first Ballyhoo office was based in Anthony’s home, and as you may have guessed, there’s not many photos of this. However, using our best detective skills, we’ve dug out this slightly blurry photo of the earliest Ballyhoo workspace – spot our original business cards in the background!

You may remember our original logo which we have continued to evolve over the last 10 years, updating it to be more modern. Note that throughout the years we’ve always kept the original leaf logomark – representing growth as we help businesses to grow and expand.

13 years on and we have a team of like-minded, innovative people that help Ballyhoo to be the best of the best in website design, development and digital marketing.

A Trip Down Memory Lane

We’ve also taken a trip down memory lane over on Instagram, reminiscing on everything else that happened in 2009, *spoiler alert* you may have the Black Eyed Peas stuck in your head all day after reading the below post.

Looking Ahead

We are so excited about what’s to come for the future of Ballyhoo. And of course, when we look ahead we also have to take into consideration the future of this planet. Cemented in our future plans is sustainability and how we can ensure that what we do not only helps businesses to grow, but helps the planet retain its livable state.

We are really grateful for the support from our clients throughout the last 13 years, and for everyone else that has supported us by following our journey, engaging on our social media, or encouraging us from afar. We are looking forward to what the future holds and we hope that you’ll stick around to come on this journey with us. Stay up to date with what we are up to by following us on Instagram, or sign up to our newsletter.
