Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market
From 1st November
It really is the best time of the year – because the German Market returns to Birmingham! As always, it promises to get you in the Christmas spirit; with a range of market stalls, delicious food and drink, and live music, the market will be just as beautiful as it has in previous years.
Birmingham Skating
From 1st November
The ice rink makes a return to Centenary Square this November. The large undercover ice rink is a great place to bring family and friends for a day (or evening) of fun. We’d advise going early on in the season, as it gets very busy!
Cake International
1st – 3rd November
As huge British Bake Off fans, we had to include the Cake International event at the NEC. The biggest cake decorating and baking event in the world, the event gives you the opportunity to shop till you drop, and a cake competition to make your mouth water.
Festival of Light
2nd November
The Black Country Living Museum opens its doors to the sound, light and dance experiences inspired by Diwali, including a UV disco and bhangra dance workshop.
Birmingham Film Festival
8th – 17th November
Film makers from around the globe join together for screenings, events and awards to celebrate the world of film. Over 200 films will be screened, with seminars and Q&A panels to answer your questions.
Longbridge Christmas Light Switch On
16th November
Get into the festive spirit at the Longbridge Christmas light switch on, with a brand new Christmas market, Children’s Book Hunt and live music and performances, it’s an evening you don’t want to miss. starts from 10am, with live music and light switch on from 4pm – 6pm.

17th November
Start your Christmas shopping at Attic Brew Co in Stirchley this November, with a range sustainability focused traders for you to shop from.
A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story
From 14th November
Get into the festive spirit this November, by watching A Christmas Carol at The Rep, and with creative special effects, this performance will leave you both scared and excited!
Good Food Show Winter
21st – 24th November
The winter edition of the show at the NEC gives you the opportunity to shop all of your favourite artisans, in addition to workshops and tasting sessions.
The Nutcracker at Birmingham Hippodrome
From 22nd November
A beautiful performance from Birmingham Royal Ballet, The Nutcracker is guaranteed to get you in the magical spirit of Christmas. Adorned with breathtaking costumes and with awe-inspiring backdrops, the ever talented ballet dancers will have you truly captivated.
We also have it on good authority from Rebecca (who’s seen it three times) that this is a ballet performance that you don’t want to miss!
