Flatpack Festival is returning this year from 17th-22nd May – for its first in-person festival since 2019.
The festival is taking place at various venues across Birmingham, celebrating a collection of films and media, including animation, documentaries, short films, music videos and experimental cinema.
What is Flatpack Film Festival?
Flatpack is a mobile arts organisation that brings people together and helps them to develop new ideas and showcase work. Not only do they run the Flatpack Festival, they also run pop ups throughout the year.
The festival consists of screenings, performances, walks, discussions and installations throughout Birmingham City Centre. The festival is split into numerous sections to help you navigate the various events, to decide which ones you want to attend.

Flatpack Festival 2022 Details
Flatpack Festival is taking place at various venues across the city, with the main hub located in Digbeth – where events and installations take place (and there’s even a bar!). View all venue information, including accessibility, here. Due to the festival taking place in and around Birmingham City Centre, all venues have great transport links.
Tickets are available to buy online, with tickets being available to buy on the door subject to availability.
