From 11th January 2023, Google will begin redirecting users from the Google Meet original app, to the upgraded Google Meet app for mobile devices.
Google Meet App Changes
Google has released a new Google Meet app, and will begin moving customers to the new app this month. This means that users within your domain who require access to Meet will need to install and use the upgraded Meet app. Users will be able to access the same features as the original app.

Action Required
To prevent users from losing access, ensure that you keep Google Meet settings on in your Admin console. You can also manage legacy Duo settings – such as direct calling – in the Admin console.
You also need to ensure that all users have access to the upgraded Google Meet app.
