What is Google Workspace Frontline?
Google Workspace Frontline gives users discounted access to Google Workspace tools, aimed at shiftworkers and field teams that share primary work devices with other workers during or across shifts. Examples of frontline workers are those who provide services, support, or sell products in direct contact with customers or the public, or are directly involved in the manufacturing and distribution of products or services.
The Frontline plan provides only the essential communication and collaboration features, for users who need to primarily review and consume content, such as reviewing calendar meetings and reading company documents and emails, rather than creating them.
Google Workspace Frontline Tiers
Frontline Starter
This tier is best suited for workers in the retail and manufacturing industries that have basic collaboration requirements.
- 5GB storage per user
- Gmail – Send and receive emails using your organisations email address e.g. [email protected]
- Gemini – Use Google Gemini for problem solving and researching
- Google Meet – Join meetings of up to 100 participants
- Google Calendar – Shared calendars to schedule meetings and events
- Google Drive – Read and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Google Chat – Chat in groups or one-on-one
- Google Sites – Create websites without code
- AppSheet Core – Build web applications
Frontline Standard
This tier is ideal for workers who need advanced security. It includes all features of Frontline Starter, in addition to the ability to manage company owned devices with admin controls for security.
Frontline Plus
This tier is ideal for workers in regulated industries and healthcare, who require advanced data protection controls and also want to access AI features. It includes all features of Frontline Starter and Standard, in addition to:
- The ability to set data regions
- Google Drive – Add additional layers of encryption to Drive files and emails
- Gmail – Scan email attachments for malware
- Gemini – Access Gemini in Gmail and note taking in Meet
- Google Chat – Allow users to use Google chat with people outside of your organisation
