In marketing, search refers to using a web browser, such as Google, to search online. There are many activities used to help websites appear higher up in search engine results pages, including SEO and Google Ads.
Secure
Websites need to be secure to ensure that no data breaches take place, ensuring that customer data is safe. This can be done using SSL certificates and keeping websites up-to-date.
SEO
Search Engine Optimisation is the process of improving a website to increase its visibility in the search engine results page. Typical SEO strategies include updating meta descriptions, adding alt tags to images, and testing a website on Lighthouse to determine its ranking and areas of improvement.

Server
A server is computer hardware that provides functionality for other programs or devices (clients), accepting and processing requests made over a network. Every time you click a link in your browser (the ‘client’), this triggers a ‘request’ to the server – the server then sends back the right set of data and content to make the website you wanted appear on your screen.

We run digital marketing activities for Shire UK and maintain their website, ensuring that they reach their target audience. Shire aims to have an active involvement in engineering projects, making recommendations where they see more effective solutions.
SLA
We offer Service Level Agreements to clients, allowing us to support them with websites and applications to ensure that issues are dealt with promptly. SLAs are essential especially to those websites that have a high volume of traffic or business critical functionality.
Slack
Slack is a messaging app that connects people, and is used in business. We use Slack daily within our team, to keep updated on the latest project updates and internal messages too.
Snowcompare
Snowcompare offers a booking transfer search website, where customers can easily find affordable ski resort transfers throughout Europe, France, Austria, Italy and Switzerland.
We created a website and system that allows customers to book transfers, with functionality to give suppliers ultimate flexibility when creating a journey, providing a supplier control panel to allow them to manage their services, availability and even their seasonal pricing.
Snoworker
Snoworker is a recruitment tool that builds community, allowing those in the ski Industry to connect together. We built and designed a website that gives people the opportunity to advertise skills, services and talents, and allows businesses to advertise job vacancies.
Solid State Supplies
Solid State Supplies are part of Solid State PLC, and are a distributor of semiconductors and related components and modules with a keen, in-depth understanding of the products that they sell.
We refreshed their original website which was previously not performing well, to give a sleek website that showcases Solid State Supplies full product range with features to allow customers to shop online.
SQL
Structured Query Language or SQL lets you access and manage databases, and is the prominent language used in programming. It is used to communicate with databases.
SSL
Secure Sockets Layer or SSL is an encryption-based Internet security protocol. SSL certificates are added to websites to make them safe and secure – and are shown by the little lock icon in your search bar.
All of the websites that Ballyhoo design and build are launched with an SSL certificate.
Staffordshire Police Federation
Staffordshire Police Federation provide representation and resources for the officers and staff of the local constabulary. We have been working with Staffordshire Police Federation to maintain their online presence for many years, and have recently updated their website to allow officers and staff to login, view a variety of member services, read news articles and get help and guidance as and when they needed it.
