The New Year is upon us and although there may not be as many events happening as previous months, there’s always something happening in Birmingham. Here’s a look at what’s going on in the local area this month.

Art Classes in The Art Room

Art Tutor Hannah Boyd takes you through a 5 week art course every Tuesday, focusing on creating a mark and making textures using different materials and techniques. The course is suitable for all levels.

Lunar New Year 2023

Birmingham Hippodrome & Chinese Festival Committee Birmingham bring the festivities to the city centre, celebrating the official first day of the Year of the Rabbit.

Stirchley Printworks Courses

Running throughout the year, Stirchley Printworks offers numerous courses allowing you to delve into new art. January is a great time to learn a new skill and tap into your creative side – and these beginner courses are a great place to start.

Wassail at Lickey Hills

In celebration of the orchard and to ensure a good and bountiful harvest, join in the centuries old rural tradition on 14th January to celebrate the fecundity of orchards. Great for families.

Herbert’s Yard Reopening

Herbert’s Yard in Longbridge is currently closed for a refurbishment, but will be reopening on 27th January 2023. We can’t wait to see the new look, and to see what the year brings for the best venue in the area.
