Summer is in full swing, and with a mixture of sitting in the sun and attending events throughout the city, it’s warming up to be a brilliant Summer indeed!

Birmingham Wellness Walk

2nd July

The 10km wellness walk through Birmingham City Centre Gardens helps raise money for Diabetes UK. Registration is just £10, so bring your family and friends along and walk through the beautiful city including the Bullring, canals and through Chamberlain Square. The route is step-free, meaning those with pushchairs and mobility scooters can take part too.

Birmingham Cocktail Weekend

7th – 9th July

Celebrate a long weekend of delicious drinks across the city, from Friday 7th July to Sunday 9th July. Buy your ticket online to use your wristband all weekend, sampling a £5 signature cocktail at each venue with great events and food offers too. Friends Experience

8th July

Could we BE any more excited?! The Friends Experience comes to Birmingham on 8th July at the NEC, where you can step into the land of Friends – exploring set recreations and exploring a number of props and costumes.

The Lion King Birmingham

6th July – 16th September

Experience the Lion King in Birmingham! The incredible production comes to the Birmingham Hippodrome for a limited season, telling the story of Simba’s journey to fulfil his destiny as King of the Pridelands.

Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival

14th – 23rd July

Birmingham, Sandwell & Westside Jazz Festival has been running since 1985, and this year it returns with over 150 performers, as well as workshops, talks, exhibitions and masterclasses. A large number of the events are free to attend, with a full programme on their website.

Jewellery Quarter Festival 2023

22nd July

Birmingham Jewellery Quarte will be a hive of entertainment, with their free annual Summer Festival. Enjoy live music performances, independent makers markets, demonstrations, arts and heritage tours and delicious street food and drinks.

Herbert’s Yard Daytime Disco

26th July

Partnering with Digbeth Dining Club, Herbert’s Yard in Longbridge will be hosting a daytime disco (aptly named as ‘Bangers & Mashup’) for the whole family to have fun. The day will include DJ’s, street food, crafts, fruit-sundae bar, dance off, inflatables, and baby chill out area. You do NOT want to miss this.

TILT Festival

10th – 16th July

TILT Festival is a festival of aerial circus and physical theatre spanning over 1 week, for adults and young people. It features masterclasses, seminars and performances from artists from all over the world.

Birmingham Festival 23

28 July – 6 August 

Birmingham Festival 23 marks the one year anniversary of the Commonwealth Games, celebrating the city’s creativity, as a sign of its ongoing commitment to funding culture.

World Supercross British Grand Prix

1st July

The FIM World Supercross British Grand Prix returns to the UK, with ten riders and teams battling to win. The night consists of action, entertainment, freestyle motocross stunts and pyrotechnics.
