Christmas is just around the corner and Birmingham is getting ready for the festive season. There’s lots to get you in the cosy mood this month, here are our favourite events and things to do in your local area.
Frankfurt Christmas Market (Birmingham German Christmas Market)
The legendary Frankfurt Christmas Market returns from 3rd November 2022, running until Friday 23rd December 2022. The Christmas markets run from Victoria Square to New Street, and it’s always a great atmosphere! Running 10am to 9pm daily, except Remembrance Sunday (13th November) when the market will be open from 1pm to 9pm.

Big Wheel and Ice Skate Birmingham
Along with the German Christmas Markets, the big wheel and ice skating rink return this month. Go up in the big wheel to see the sights of Birmingham from above, or have family fun at the ice skating rink.
The Creative Craft Show
Get inspired with the whole family at the Creative Craft show, or get into the festive spirit with the Christmas Craft Show running on the same day.

Edgbaston Fireworks Spectacular & Fun Fair
Celebrate Guy Fawkes night with fireworks and fun. There’s lots of small, local bonfire and firework events around the city, with Edgbaston being an event that is popular every year. Running on Saturday 5th November, it’s a great opportunity to get wrapped up warm and meet up with friends.
Birmingham Film Festival
The 10-day international film celebration showcasing professional and independent films from around the world at Millenium Point.

The Nutcracker Ballet
Birmingham Royal Ballet returns with the festive and beautiful The Nutcracker show from 19th November – 10th December 2022.
