Autumn’s in full swing, and as usual, there’s bundles of events happening around Birmingham this month in the lead up to Christmas. Without further ado, let’s jump right in…
The Creative Craft Show
2nd – 5th Nov
The Creative Craft Show offers shopping, workshops, and inspiration for crafters at the NEC. The event includes workshops and demonstrations to get new crafting inspiration.
Tickets also give you access to Simply Christmas, Cake International and Bake International.
Cake International & Bake International
3rd Nov
Bake International is back for its second year, along with Cake International which is the world’s leading cake decorating and sugarcraft show.
The two events are full of cutting edge workshops, demos, supplies and the world-famous Cake International Competition display.
Birmingham Awards Ceremony
You may have seen that we are finalists for Small Business of the Year in the Birmingham Awards! We will be attending the awards ceremony on Saturday 4th November, along with other finalists in the area, to celebrate!
Fireworks Spectacular & Fun Fair
4th Nov
Get your friends and family together for the biggest fireworks display in Birmingham, including entertainment, Fun Fair, food stalls and firework extravaganza.
Cinema on the Square – Frozen
4th Nov
For all of the Frozen fans out there, watch the iconic film at Birmingham Cathedral this autumn!
Big Wheel and Ice Skate Birmingham
1st Nov – 31st Dec
A sure sign that Christmas is here – the Big Wheel and Ice Skating is back! A great way to get into the festive spirit, the ice skating rink is located in central Birmingham at Centenary Square, with the Big Wheel giving you views over the Library of Birmingham, Council House, Town Hall, Cube, Brindleyplace and the German Christmas Market.

Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market
2nd Nov – 24th Dec
It’s not festive season without Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market! A firm fixture in Birmingham’s holiday calendar, the market returns with stalls along New Street and on Victoria Square. With intricate gifts and delicious food and drink, it’s a great place to meet up with your friends and family to get into the Christmas spirit.
New Year at Herbert’s Yard
31st Dec
We know that this isn’t technically November, however at time of writing, over 25% of tickets have sold for this event – so we thought best to include it now! Our favourite Longbridge based venue is throwing an 80’s themed party, with DJ’s and street food, it’s a night you don’t want to miss. Plus – fancy dress is encouraged! Tickets from just £10, but they will sell out so get in quick!

Festive Gift Fair
16th – 19th Nov
The NEC welcomes the Festive Gift Fair, where you can get all of your Christmas shopping done in one place! 1000’s of gifts, stocking fillers, decorations, artisan food & drink from pocket money presents to handcrafted gifts.
The Nutcracker – Birmingham Hippodrome
17th Nov – 9th Dec
Sir Peter Wright’s The Nutcracker ballet returns to Birmingham Hippodrome – which is a sure way to fire off the festive season. Our marketing officer Rebecca can vouch for the show – she’s been twice now (and going a 3rd time in 2023!) and loves it!
Christmas Party World 2023
29th Nov – 30th Dec
If you haven’t already booked your Works Christmas Party, then you may want to get a wriggle on! The NEC is hosting its annual Christmas Party, with a night full of entertainment and food and drink.
This year’s theme is ‘Stargazer’, so dress to impress!
BBC Good Food Show Winter
23rd-26th Nov
The ideal event for foodies that want festive cooking inspiration, the Good Food Show brings together the best in the industry, including celebrity chefs for free live cooking demos full of Christmas recipe inspiration, and festive workshops and tasting sessions.
