Christmas has come early to Birmingham! The Frankfurt Christmas Market returns this year earlier than ever before, giving you plenty of time to soak up the festivities, try some of the traditional German food and shop from the beautiful stalls.

Halloween Silent Disco

1st Nov

Get ready for a Halloween weekend at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, where they’re hosting a silent disco with three DJs spinning favorite tracks. Choose from pop and 70s hits, indie and rock anthems, or retro classics from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Costumes are encouraged, with Halloween-themed cocktails on tap, delicious street food, and sweet treats from Medicine Bakery to complete the experience.

Cirque: The Greatest Show

6th November

Experience the ultimate “Circus meets Musical Theatre” spectacular! This event features West End hits, circus acts, vocalists, and world-class artists in a family-friendly extravaganza of agility and performance.

An afternoon of comedy where you can see some of the best comedians in the UK, and bring your baby with you! With buggy parking, baby changing and more, you can take some time for yourself and be entertained.

The Polar Express at Churnet Valley Railway

Throughout Nov

Churnet Valley Railway is bringing the spirit, magic, and joy of Christmas with a themed train ride, departing from Froghall Station on the Churnet Valley Line in Staffordshire, picking up Santa Claus for the return journey. Guests have an experience true to The Polar Express book and movie.

Christmas at Longbridge

15th November

Ballyhoo’s home town, Longbridge, is getting festive and into the Christmas spirit! Come down to the town centre from 10am – 6pm, with an artisan market to shop Christmas crafts, gifts and plenty of treats on offer, take part in a book hunt, meet fun festive characters, and of course the main event – the big Christmas switch-on at 6pm.

14th – 23rd Nov

The 10-day event celebrates professional and independent films from around the world, of all different genres, styles, budgets and topics. Films are screened to the public and are FREE to attend, and the event also includes workshops and seminars.

Pride in STEM Day

15th Nov

This day aims to shine a light on the innovators and thinkers from across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum who are transforming STEM. Whether you attend the live science show inspired by stories of LGBTQIA+ scientists, take part in the interactive activities or visit the LGBTQ+ museum trail, it’s a great day for both the LGBTQIA+ community and allies.
