2022 has gone in a flash, and we can’t believe that we are writing another yearly review. We love taking time at the end of the year to look back on what we’ve achieved, and how Ballyhoo has grown over the last 12 months.
Our New Website
Back at the beginning of the year, we launched our brand new website! After working on our new website when we could steal time, we finally set a launch date for January this year and launched the site. With an updated design and using new technology, we are so happy with the outcome and really feel it reflects us. We still have some things in the pipeline so watch this space.
Being Sustainable
This year we’ve done lots of work towards being a more sustainable business. We have become members of Ecologi, we’re listed on Sustainabrum, and our hosting is now certified Green. We are working towards creating more sustainable websites with an exciting project taking place in 2023 – keep your eyes peeled for more to come!
Charity Work
We take pride in helping local communities, and this year we have put this into action by increasing our work with charities. We held a Macmillan Cancer Morning – raising nearly £200, supported a local CIC bakery kickstarter, and have organised a donation collection with Pure Offices Longbridge to donate 98.9kg of donations to help those in need this festive period! This Christmas, we are also changing how we send client gifts – the money usually used to send gifts has now been instead donated to charities – of which clients have chosen their designated charity. Going into 2023, we will continue to work with more charities and good causes.
Awards
We couldn’t write this review post without including that we were named Agency of the Month in October and also named in the Top 10 Global Website Design & Developers by Top Digital Agency! We’re really proud that our hard work and dedication has been rewarded.
2022 Projects
Pacer
One of our biggest projects in 2022 was creating the Pacer UK and Pacer USA websites. We built a user-friendly website and CMS, with a US variant with unique content, to allow admins to add content to effectively communicate with customers.
Merica Marine
One of our favourite projects to work on was Mercia Marine – due to the bright colours and fun vibe of the website. We created an engaging website allowing users to get boat insurance quotes online, with user portal functionality. Be sure to check out the Easter Egg added on the website too – if you can find it!
Circle Financial Services
Earlier in the year, Circle Financial Services reached out to us after encountering issues on their original website, which resulted in the client building a temporary website that didn’t have the required functionality.
We created a WordPress website and content management system for them with security at the heart of the site, allowing admins to edit and add content when needed.
Snoworker
Another project that we’re really proud of is Snoworker – a job vacancy and recruitment website for individuals and businesses in the ski industry. The website allows businesses to list job vacancies, with functionality for individuals to apply for these roles and also list services that they are available for.
And, of course, we continued to support our existing clients with their websites, from monthly maintenance to new feature additions and work behind the scenes to improve their sites and systems. A busy year then!
Looking Forward to 2023
We are looking forward to starting a new year, with plenty of exciting plans in the works and projects that we can’t wait to share. Until then – we wanted to say a big thank you for your support this year, and we are now off for a Christmas tipple or two!
