Webinar

Over the last few years, we’ve seen an increase in online webinars due to the pandemic and lockdowns. A webinar is a presentation or workshop that takes place over video conferencing software (such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams), allowing participants from around the world to join. Webinars may be live or pre-recorded.

Webmaster

A webmaster is a person who maintains a website, and is responsible for managing everything related to this website – including functionality, speed, design and SEO.

Website

A website is a set of interconnected web pages located under one domain, maintained by a person or company. Together, all publicly accessible websites create the World Wide Web.

WYSIWYG – pronounced Wizzy Wig – is a system that displays pages or images consistently in the editor comparable to the published version that users will see

White Paper

A white paper is an authoritative document or guide that explains the benefits of a technology, software or product. White papers are usually long guides that are published on the web, and may be printed by researchers.

White Space

In website design, white space refers to the part of the design that is unmarked by images or text. It is often the space around the main sections of the website design. Resist the urge to completely fill it!

Widgets

A widget is a broad term that refers to any interface element that can display information or interact with a user. Examples of widgets include buttons, image galleries, check boxes or search boxes.

Widow

We are not referring to the type of widow that you know, but this type of widow does make designers sad. A widow is a lonely word (or group of words) at the beginning or end of a paragraph that is left dangling or separated from the rest of the paragraph.

Wireframe

Wireframes are often used in website design, as they allow designers to plan a website structure and its functionality through line drawings, without the use of colour, texture or images.. Wireframes display how the website and its pages work, saving time by minimising revisions.

Woocommerce

Woocommerce is a WordPress plugin, allowing businesses to sell their products and services online. It offers many features, including order tracking, delivery status updates, inventory management, and more. WooCommerce powers 99% of all WordPress stores.

Word of Mouth Marketing

Word of Mouth Marketing (WOMM) occurs when people or users pass information to one another, speaking freely about a company or their products and services. WOMM occurs as a result of a positive customer experience with a brand. It is a very effective marketing strategy, as it is free and allows businesses to find ways to increase opportunities for their brand to be included in organic conversations.

WordPress

WordPress is a Content Management System (CMS) that is used to build and create websites and blogs. WordPress is popular around the world, making it easy for users to manage website content with lots of features for customisation. We use WordPress for a large percentage of our website development projects.

Worldpay

Worldpay is a payment processing company, giving users the ability to take payments directly from a website or app. We have used Worldpay in the past, however we now mainly use Stripe.

Wright Solutions

We created a strong brand identity and website for Wright Solutions. We built a custom coded website with job search functionality, allowing users to upload their CVs and apply for jobs.
