We are proud to be located in Longbridge, Birmingham, and when we’re not creating websites or working our marketing magic, we love to get out and about and enjoy local events.
Therefore, we’ve started a monthly series that dives into events in the coming month – so that you can see what the local area has to offer.
Herbert’s Yard
A firm favourite here at Ballyhoo, Herbert’s Yard is a street food venue open every weekend, showcasing a variety of different street food vendors. With the long Half Term approaching soon, we know from past experience that it’ll be one you don’t want to miss. They are also open during the week for coffee.

Flatpack Festival
Flatpack Film Festival is returning this month, with events happening around Birmingham City Centre and Digbeth, celebrating films and media, including animation, documentaries, short films, music videos and experimental cinema.

The City That Spoke To Me Exhibition
Paul Stringer is a Birmingham Based photographer, who in 2013 hosted his first open mic poetry night, Beatfreeks’ Poetry Jam. The City That Spoke To Me exhibition at the Birmingham Hippodrome introduces you to the poets that inspired Paul’s journey, alongside the poets that inspired theirs. The immersive exhibition includes portraits, audio interviews, poems and physical artefacts. Entry is free.
Birmingham Botanical Garden Butterfly House
The beloved Butterfly House will reopen on 24th May 2022 at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. This house is full of species native to Central America and Africa, is a great experience for both children and adults alike. You’ll be able to learn about the numerous species and watch them emerge from their chrysalis. Butterfly house is open until September 2022 – so it’s one you don’t want to miss!
Birmingham Craft and Flea
We are all for supporting small businesses and the community here at Ballyhoo, and Birmingham Craft and Flea is the perfect pace to do this. Showcasing local independent makers, collectors, designers and creatives, it is a great excuse to browse and shop and see what local businesses have to offer.
The market is being held on Saturday 14th March, with tickets available for £2.50 and children get free entry.
