Ballyhoo Review of the Year 2023

Ballyhoo | |

2023 has gone by in a flash, and amongst the busyness of the last few months, we think it’s about time that we took 10 minutes to reflect on everything that we’ve achieved this year. Join us, as we review our 2023…

Life at Ballyhoo

New Office

One of the biggest changes for the team was moving office! Although we are still in the same office building, surrounded by the same friendly faces, it’s been great to get to grips with our new place and office – making it home.

Celebrating 10 Years at Innovation Centre

In March, we celebrated being located in the Innovation Centre, Longbridge for 10 years! Since then, we’ve moved three times within the building as our business has grown and then adapted to a hybrid working model, and at one point even opened our not-for-profit venture Longbridge Device Lab in its own unit. We’re looking forward to the next 10 years!

Awards

Birmingham Awards Finalists

We’re extremely proud to say that this year we were finalists for Small Business of the Year in the Birmingham Awards. We attended the awards ceremony, to celebrate all of the businesses and business people of Birmingham.

Thank you once again to everyone that took the time to vote for us!

Certifications

Google Cloud Partner Advantage

We have joined Google Cloud Partner Advantage, giving us the ability to continue delivering the powerful benefits of Google Workspace and Google Cloud solutions to you, helping your business to grow and thrive.

Google Certifications

This year, we’ve completed a number of Google Certifications in order to retain our Google Partner status. This ensures that our knowledge is up-to-date with all Google features, trends and technologies, so that we can manage your Ad campaigns perfectly and maximise their success.

Help To Grow Mentoring

Anthony has continued to complete his mentoring sessions with Help to Grow, and has completed an annual review for this. Additionally, Anthony is working towards more mentoring qualifications.

Interviews

The Hub Spotlight Mag

We’re really proud of this one – Ballyhoo was featured in the Autumn instalment of The Hub magazine by Pure Offices as their spotlight occupier. Our feature was included in both print and digital version, with a double-page spread, where Anthony talked about the Ballyhoo journey, how we’re using new technologies, and how the Innovation Centre has changed since Pure Offices took over in 2022.

ActionCOACH

Our MD Anthony had the opportunity to talk to ActionCOACH in the Business Spotlight podcast, giving an insight into all things digital, and how you shouldn’t let perfect get in the way of good.

SafetyDetectives

At the start of the year, we had the opportunity to talk to SafetyDetectives about the cybersecurity challenges in the digital marketing industry, as well as how we build successful e-commerce websites.

Community

B30 Food Donation

Back in 2022, we organised a food donation with occupiers of the Innovation Centre to collect donations for B30 Foodbank. This year, we decided to do the same, and we managed to collect a whopping 66.2kg worth of donations!

Recycling Old Equipment

As part of our sustainability efforts, we organised a collection and donation of equipment to Green IT Disposal, for safe and sustainable destruction. This meant that instead of being dumped in landfill, we had the ability to get the equipment disposed of in an eco-friendly way. In total, we collected over 32 items!

Ecologi Zero

Carrying on with sustainability, we joined Ecologi Zero – a verification and carbon footprinting tool to calculate carbon footprint, for a net-zero journey. This tool is helping us to visualise our carbon footprint and identify actionable information to make real life changes. We’ve also been using the tool to fund climate solutions, to easily show our climate impact and decrease our carbon footprint.

2023 Projects

Beorma Leather Company

We created a premium e-commerce website for new brand Beorma Leather Company, to showcase their exquisite range of luxury leather goods and grow their web presence.

From refining their visual identity to integrating with their enterprise software, we took care of everything digital to get them off to the best start on their e-commerce journey. The website demonstrates a user-friendly design that showcases the brand’s products and provides an enhanced online shopping experience for customers.

We created a clean, crisp and modern website design for fire and security company SDC to help them continue to grow and succeed.

The website focused heavily on showcasing their case studies and high quality work from around the nation.

National Fire Safety Services

We already had a working relationship with NFSS, having created their fire risk assessment app and customer portal a couple of years ago, and this year we rebuilt their website with a custom online booking system.

Plus a whole host of other projects, and of course, we continued to support our existing clients with their websites, from monthly maintenance to new feature additions and work behind the scenes to improve their sites and systems.

Looking Forward to 2024

We are looking forward to 2024, with plenty of exciting projects that we can’t wait to share. A huge thank you for your support this year, and we hope you have a happy and healthy start to the next year ahead.
